If I recall correctly, I was feeling distraught before Gant even arrived. And even when he finally did arrive, no one expected him in the first place. The reason I was feeling that way in the first place was because of an investigation that the judge had me conduct while the trial was suspended. The judge had me investigate the muffler of my car, and prior to doing so, I argued that my car’s muffler had no relevance to the case at hand. It turned out that the muffler had relevance after all because important pieces of evidence were found in the muffler. I was feeling distraught because I was embarrassed at how careless I was in the initial investigation.
